We wanted to do things differently and we have decided that a percent of the Sun Friday sales will go to the families of Colectiv’s victims. In addition, we encouraged other companies to follow our example and donate money for a noble cause. Maybe not starting with this year, but from the future, so Black Friday becomes an event from whom everybody wins, not only the shops and discount hunters.
We were not satisfied only with changing the campaign's name or with the decision to donate, but we also modified the layout of the website and we enriched the background with lots of sympathetic and optimistic sun.
Because of the different way we realized the concept of the Black Friday campaign and the way we have chosen to communicate this thing, our message has been received by the most important online publications in Romania and transmitted to the public. So, Gadgetworld reached Mediafax, Gandul, Cotidianul, Hotnews, Realitatea, Puterea, Ziuanews, Forbes, Romania TV and more national publications, but also at Observator, the most important news journal of Antena 1, in prime time.
The media exposure obtained by iAgency's strategy for Sun Friday has tripled Gadgetworld's sales, compared to December 2014, when the online gadget shop had the best sales from his history.
